Stage Manager (Inspizient*in)

The Berlin-based international dance and theatre company Constanza Macras / Dorky Park is looking for a Stage Manager (Inspizient*in) on a project-based freelance basis for an upcoming tour to France scheduled for the end of January 2027.


The Stage Manager position includes the following tasks:

• Coordinating and calling all performance cues (lighting, sound, video, etc.) in collaboration with the host theatre’s technical team.
• Acting as the communication link between the production team, performers and the host theatre.
• Maintaining show documentation, including cue sheets, running orders and performance reports.
• Coordinating the integration of the production into the venue.
• Coordinating backstage activities and ensuring performers are ready for their entrances and cues.
• Overseeing the smooth running of performances, keeping track of timing and adapting to any changes.
• Responding to unexpected situations during performances and coordinating solutions in collaboration with the relevant departments.
• Conducting pre-show checks and ensuring backstage safety and readiness.
• Participating in post-performance debriefs and evaluating issues.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in stage management / theatre stage calling.
• Good understanding of technical theatre processes and stage operations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, reliably and calmly under pressure.
• Good command of English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
